The cottage is set in a quiet and peaceful secluded valley in the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, and is ideal for those seeking a relaxing self catering break. The many facilities offered by Betws-y-Coed are just 6 miles from the cottage. The scenary is stunning, and there is a stream running past the cottage (see right). The cottage is ideally located for exploring Snowdonia and the whole of North Wales, with numerous attractions within easy reach. There are numerous activities that you can do in the area, including walking, climbing, fishing, mountain biking, golf and horse riding. Cyclists of all levels can join the Penmachno mountain bike trail. This is a dedicated single-track trail that has been built to national standards and is only a few minutes ride from the cottage. There is secure covered storage attached to the cottage. |

Attractions in the area include castles (Conwy Castle, Caernarfon Castle and Dolwyddelan Castle), steam railways (Ffestiniog Railway, Snowdon Mountain Railway and Welsh Highland Railway), National Trust properties (Bodnant Gardens, Penrhryn Castle and Plas Newydd), and others such as the Ewe-phoria Sheepdog Centre.

- Turn off A5 onto B4406 sign posted Penmachno by the Conwy Falls Café (see map above).
- Continue into the village and cross the bridge.
- After 50 yards turn right by Eagles Hotel, follow sign to Ty Mawr (NT), stay on this road for about ½ mile to where the road forks. Do not go up the hill.
- Keep left at fork along the single-track road (marked dead end).
- Stay on tarmac road through the wood, do not turn off to the right or left.
- You will reach a metal farm gate (normally this is closed).
- Blaen Glasgwm Isaf is about ½ mile further on from this gate.
